November-Monthly Inspirational Message for The Village

NOVEMBER 14, 2022

“Hello. I'm Laron Evans, the Spiritual Adviser and security/safety guard for Umoja Village.  I am blessed to operate out of the Umoja Village Resource Center during the business hours and as needed.  The purpose of Umoja Village is to encourage, uplift, and unite communities, groups, organizations and individuals, particularly in the Black and African American communities.

Our core values first and foremost start and end with the Word of God, the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We strive, at our very best, to obtain Matthew 5:16 -- "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father, which is in heaven." Jesus said without me you can do nothing; so none of what we accomplish through Umoja Village would be possible without God's grace and mercy.

We all have trying times in our lives and in our communities that have caused pain -- whether it's hardship from the economy, loss of loved ones due to the pandemic, health challenges, lack of gainful employment, etc.  At the Umoja Village Resource Center, it is our daily goal to assist the Umoja Village family by connecting you to the resources you need even if it's spiritual guidance, prayer, or even a Holy Word from the Lord.  We are here for you!

Umoja means unity.  And, we are people helping people. The founders, board, and staff of Umoja Village are committed to exemplifying love in action through the personification of unity as our foundation.  I am grateful for this opportunity to serve you.  To God be the glory!”
