UMOJA VILLAGE UPDATE, because YOU are UMOJA!

1. You are invited to a review of draft proposals for public transportation improvements to Aiken County's Best Friend Express transit system to provide feedback on Tuesday, April 30th, 10 a.m., Lessie B. Price Center, 841 Edgefield Ave., NW, in Aiken OR Wednesday, May 1st, 10 a.m. at the North Augusta Community Center, 495 Brookside Avenue, N. Augusta.

 
 

2. Join us on Wednesday, June 19th, for Umoja Village Founders Day/Juneteenth Celebration at Eudora Farms Wildlife Safari Park in Salley, SC, 10AM-2PM.  Come on your own or see umojavillage.com for the bus trip details.

 
 

3. Volunteers are needed for the 2nd Annual Umoja Village Unity Weekend, Oct. 18-21. Volunteers are needed for Shoutfest Unityfest and our 2nd Annual Unity Golf Tournament.  The volunteer form is located on our website under Unity Weekend, or you call 803-226-0150.

 
 

4. Aiken Parks & Rec. will offer swimming lessons for all ages taught by Red Cross-certified instructors.  The cost is $30. Limited scholarships are available for qualifying youth.  Registration opens this Wednesday.  Sign up at Odell Weeks, the Lessie B. Price Center, or online.
