UMOJA VILLAGE UPDATE, because YOU are UMOJA!

1. Applications now accepted until April 15th for the recently vacated Supervisor at the Center For African American History,  Art, and Culture. To request details including full-time salary, responsibilities, and application, call 803-226-0150.

 
 

2. Save the date of Wednesday, June 19th for Umoja Village Founders Day and Juneteenth celebration at Eudora Farms Safari Zoo in Salley, SC. Donation will be made to UV from admissions.  Individuals or groups interested in riding the charter bus, please call 803-226-0150 for details.

 
 

3. Umoja Village applied for the city's Accommodations Tax grant and was awarded a reimbursement grant of $23,672.50 (the largest amount ever awarded to an African American organization) to market Shoutfest Unityfest to attract tourists. SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, Oct. 19th, 11AM-5PM, Beverly D. Clyburn Generations Park, Aiken. Sponsors and vendors now accepted.
