2023 Umoja Village Shoutfest (10/21/2023)
“The first Umoja Village Unity Weekend was absolutely perfect because God was glorified. I NEVER worried about the weather, because God wasn't going to rain on His own parade. In fact, when Don and I made a final sweep of the park that Friday night before Shoutfest, God sent us a sign by sending a beautiful rainbow over the park. Jesus!! From a young man accepting Christ at Shoutfest; to people learning how to create generational wealth; to learning how to transform tragedy to victory; to having good food, fun, exercise, making business deals on the golf course; and bringing people together, the hours of planning and executing a million details WAS WORTH IT!
To ALL volunteers from the entire weekend, THANK YOU! You gave of your time and energy so much until you nursed aching bodies. You endured my push for excellence with your unselfishness. Don Wesby and I thank our board, Ms. Cynthia Green for capturing much of this weekend, and we thank our sponsors, donors, vendors and all who attended one, two, or all three events this weekend.
