Community Resource Showcase Brings Free Food, Shoes and Showers to Aiken

On May 30, a number of local organizations such as Umoja Village, Aiken Senior Life and the Breast Cancer Cervical Center were gathered at Almond Branch Baptist Church for a community resource event hosted by the Toole Hill Neighborhood Association. 

Susan Harrison, a member of the Neighborhood Association and Almond Branch, said the event was meant to introduce communities to a variety of no or low cost health services and similar support available in the area.
