"Through the Eyes of Its People”: The Sankofa Museum | Traveling Educational Exhibit-Sunday, October 18, 2026

The Sankofa African American Museum on Wheels, founded by Angela Jennings in 1995, is a traveling exhibit designed to educate communities on Black history through artifacts, memorabilia, and artwork spanning from 1860 to the present. It promotes the Akan concept of "retrieving the wisdom of the past to build the future," focusing on resiliency, cultural heritage, and, often, the stories of ordinary people. Join us as we take part in this enriching experience!
