On its fifth anniversary, local nonprofit Umoja Village held a drop in on Thursday. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the resource center and connect with the Umoja Village board.

Price Senior and Youth Center, all dressed in their Sunday best. Put on by Umoja Village, the non-profit organization is dedicated to uniting Black and African American organizations, clubs, businesses, churches, and individuals in Aiken.

Umoja Village recently began selling its 2025 "Umoja Village Celebrates Black Excellence" wall calendar. The 2025 calendar is the group's third, and will highlight the unsung heroes of the Aiken community, according to a news release.

ShoutFest is the CSRA’s largest gospel festival and previously was put on by a local gospel radio station before that station was sold last year. At which point, Umoja Village took it up and rolled it into its Unity Weekend-an extended weekend centered on unity and inclusion across all cultures.
