Nationally Known History Exhibit Coming to Umoja Village’s Unity Weekend

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) - A nationally recognized traveling history exhibit will make a one-day stop in Aiken, giving residents a chance to walk through centuries of African and American history.

Umoja Village and the Aiken Parks, Recreation and Tourism Department are bringing “The Sankofa Museum: America’s Story Through the Eyes of Its People to the Center for African American History, Art and Culture” on Oct. 18 from 1-5 p.m. The center is at 120 York St. NE. Admission is free and open to the public.
