Juneteenth Celebration Features Dancing and Historical Dramatization

The Juneteenth Celebration at the Center for African American History, Art and Culture on June 21 marked the federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery with music, dancing and an historical dramatization.

Founder’s Park, adjacent to the Center at 120 York St. N.E. in Aiken, was ringed with informational booths. Vendors and food trucks were parked nearby as participants learned line dances and heard about the history of Juneteenth.
