Umoja Village Celebrates Five Years of Service to Aiken-Augusta Community with Anniversary Drop-In Aiken, SC
June 17, 2025 – Local nonprofit Umoja Village is celebrating its five-year anniversary by opening its doors for a drop-in on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The celebration will take place at the Richard Johnson Jr. Umoja Village Resource Center, located at 831 Hayne Ave. SW, Aiken, SC. This interaction offers the community an opportunity to come together, enjoy fellowship, and learn more about Umoja Village’s services and its ongoing contributions to the Central Savannah River Area.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the resource center and connect with the Umoja Village board and staff. Guests can also learn more about the organization’s mission, which is to connect clients to resources and to advocate for the underserved, underrepresented, and marginalized populations.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Umoja Village will also launch its “Unity Works” fundraising campaign. The campaign invites community members to contribute by donating five dollars or more. Suggested support levels for sponsorship are listed on their website.
