1. Tomorrow (3/9), the public is invited to the campaign launch of James Hankinson who will be running for the Aiken County Council District 8 seat currently held by PK Hightower. 11 a.m., 769 York St., NE in Aiken.

2. Tickets are now available for the formal plated dinner fundraiser for Lucas Grant who is running for Aiken County Sheriff. Event is Saturday, March 30th, 7 p.m., Newberry Hall in Aiken. He could become Aiken's first Black Sheriff. grantforsheriff.com
